Founded by Babak Anvari and Lucan Toh, Two & Two Pictures is a London and Los Angeles based Production Company dedicated to creating distinctive, filmmaker-driven content for film, television and emerging formats. We specialize in identifying unique voices, and supporting their vision from development through release. Across formats and genres, our goal is to bring audiences boundary pushing work that moves and entertains.
Babak is a BAFTA-winning filmmaker and co-founder of Two & Two Pictures. His first feature film, Under The Shadow, was the UK selection for the Foreign Language Academy Award and won the BAFTA for Outstanding Debut in 2017. The film went on to win numerous festival awards, including the New Visions Award at SITGES. Babak’s second feature film, Wounds, premiered at Sundance Film Festival and at Cannes Director’s Fortnight. In addition to his feature projects, Babak executive produced, and directed the finale of the Hulu series, Monsterland. He is currently in post on his latest feature, I Came By, a neo-noir thriller co-produced with Netflix Original.
Co-founder of Two & Two Pictures, Lucan is a BAFTA-winning film producer, and member of BAFTA, the Producer’s Guild of America (PGA), the Writer’s Guild of American (WGA) and the European Film Academy. Lucan produced the 2014 SXSW Audience Award winning, Before I Disappear, BAFTA winning Under The Shadow, Netflix’s original feature film, iBoy, the 2018 Sundance hit, An Evening With Beverly Luff Linn, and Wounds, which premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and at Cannes Director’s Fortnight. In addition to these feature projects, Lucan executive produced the Hulu series Monsterland, and the HBO series, Run. Most recently, he produced Anvari’s latest feature, I Came By, with Netflix Original.
Executive Vice President of Development
Bryan has developed numerous projects across film, television and interactive. He is currently developing television series for networks such as AMC and Hulu, and features with partners such as New Regency, Endeavor, XYZ and Lionsgate. Prior to Two & Two, Bryan was in feature development at Annapurna Pictures, and has worked on projects for Within, Annapurna Interactive and Amazon Studios.
After finishing his degree in English, Sid entered the world of music journalism before falling into documentaries. Here he worked on a broad scope of topics, ranging from the history of Black British music to eco-houses, and most notably worked on Channel 4’s free speech documentary ‘Has Political Correctness Gone Mad?’. Attending the National Film and Television School, with a scholarship from Warner Brothers, he took his graduation film to the Agafay Desert in Marrakesh, Morocco, on a shoestring student budget. Before joining Two & Two, Sid worked in various roles for multiple companies, including HBO, Independent, Filmwave, and South of the River Pictures.
