Founded by Babak Anvari and Lucan Toh, Two & Two Pictures is a London and Los Angeles based Production Company dedicated to creating distinctive, filmmaker-driven content for film, television and emerging formats. We specialize in identifying unique voices, and supporting their vision from development through release. Across formats and genres, our goal is to bring audiences boundary pushing work that moves and entertains.

Babak Anvari


Babak is a BAFTA-winning filmmaker and co-founder of Two & Two Pictures. His first feature film, Under The Shadow, was the UK selection for the Foreign Language Academy Award and won the BAFTA for Outstanding Debut in 2017. The film went on to win numerous festival awards, including the New Visions Award at SITGES. Babak’s second feature film, Wounds, starring Armie Hammer, Dakota Johnson and Zazie Beetz, and co-produced with Annapurna Pictures, premiered at Sundance Film Festival and at Cannes Director’s Fortnight. In addition to his feature projects, Babak just wrapped the Hulu series Monsterland, for which he executive produced and directed.

Lucan Toh


Co-founder of Two & Two Pictures, Lucan is a BAFTA-winning film producer, and member of BAFTA, the Producer’s Guild of America (PGA) and the European Film Academy. Lucan produced the 2014 SXSW Audience Award winning, Before I Disappear, BAFTA winning Under The Shadow, Netflix’s original feature film, iBoy, and the 2018 Sundance hit, An Evening With Beverly Luff Linn. Most recently, Lucan produced Wounds, which premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and at Cannes Director’s Fortnight. In addition to these feature projects, Lucan just wrapped the Hulu series Monsterland, which he executive produced, and is an executive producer on the upcoming HBO series, Run.

Bryan Sonderman

Director of Development

Bryan has developed numerous projects across film, television and interactive. He is currently developing television series for networks such as AMC and Hulu, and features with partners such as New Regency, Endeavor, XYZ and Lionsgate. Prior to Two & Two, Bryan was in feature development at Annapurna Pictures, and has worked on projects for Within, Annapurna Interactive and Amazon Studios.
